A brief history
Frystark was formed in 1959 when brothers Derek and Owen Frye merged their furniture business with G.H. Starck Ltd in Cape Town. The name “Frystark” comes from Frye + Starck. The company operated from a factory in Ndabeni, Cape Town and became one of South Africa’s leading modern furniture manufacturers during the 1950s and 1960s
